*A tip from my own sister while at the Stonehenge: tickets to see the Stonehenge is £8 per adult so if you just want to get close enough for a good shot (BTW visitors aren't allowed to get close enough to touch the stones anyway), skip the fee by cutting across a sheep farm and you will come close enough for a great close up of the entire formation.

Layover Tips #2

I decided to make a top 5 list for this edition of Layover Tips :) Here goes..

5. Lots of walks and stretching
Keep in mind you will eventually board a plane, so take this advantage to exercise and walk as much as you want..

Lots of food, or at least easy access to food (keep in mind your budget and food preferences).
Also, remember to drinks lots of water..

2. Music / books
It's so easy to bring around reading material & music nowadays, you almost don't have an excuse not to. Watching movies is also an alternative, but I like to save that for the plane rides..

1. Company
Nothing beats long and boring waits like good company. I've experienced long layovers with and without friends/family, so you can trust me when I say that in a big foreign airport filled with strangers, a single friend can make a world of a difference..

Bucket List #9

Bringing my mum to Turkey, specifically to the Bosphorus waterfronts in Istanbul.

I love, love, love waterfront and piers.. I love being so close yet so comfy near the water. That and live jazz is an almost heavenly combination.

Packing Light #1

Hey guys 。(⌒∇⌒。)

This is the first of (hopefully) many more Packing Light series to come. Here I will be sharing tips and videos on how to not only pack light but ensuring you pack every essential item for any kind of travel anywhere, for any duration, at any season.

So this first video is a video I basically live by. I try to keep this in mind anywhere I go, from an overnight at a relative's or weeks of travelling overseas.

This video was posted by the official Heathrow Airport YouTube account and it compiles the tips from cabin crews themselves. Their lives literally revolve around travelling which is what makes this very brief video very, very effective.

If you're reading this, thanks to Heathrow Airport and to the cabin crew who lent this information! Enjoy the video to everyone else! ( ˘ ³˘)♥♥

Cambodia Part I

Hi there :)

I promised I would post photos from my recent trip to Cambodia, so here they are..

I will be posting more soon (hopefully!) and also blog about my experience.

Till then, enjoy the photos.

PS: I love my photos, and respect others for theirs. I don't like watermarks because I feel they spoil photos. All photos on this blog which are not mine are linked to their original source, so I would appreciate if you did the same for mine. You can also send a short email before you use my photos. Thanks.

Next Trip..

I've had intentions of going on this trip since the beginning of this year. 9 months and a plane ticket later, it became real. Tomorrow, me and some relatives will be making our journey to Phnom Penh, Cambodia to conduct the annual Eid-al-Adha celebrations with Muslim minorities there.

I'll remember to put up photos and stories when I get back. It all still seems surreal because it hasn't sink into me that I'm actually going on this trip in less than 24 hours. Everything around me; work & family, hasn't let my mind ease into this journey yet.

Hopefully tomorrow that will change.
